7 Thank You Card wording ideas + a template

Sharing is caring!

I remember sitting down to write first wedding thank you card full of excitement and old-fashioned glee.  And then I wrote a few… after maybe 6, I became so disenchanted by the whole process. The thing is, sure, you are incredibly excited, and grateful, and overwhelmed by your generous friends and family… but after writing the same thing half a dozen times, it all becomes a chore, and feels very contrived.

Lots of wedding blogs suggest getting your new spouse to help. If you’re lucky enough to have one of these rare creatures that will help – brilliant! However I’m yet to have my husband pick up a pen and write something other than a shopping list… it has been 9 years and he still hasn’t found time to help.

A lot of the procrastination with doing thank you cards has to do with figuring out what to say. That’s why today I’ve compiled some thank you card wording templates for you to use.  You want to follow the template closely enough to make it a bit easier, but not get too repetitive… in case close family members compare their thank you notes and realise all you’ve done is swap names.
